Galician federation of associations for rural tourism
Federación Galega de Turismo Rural (Galician federation of associations for rural tourism)

FEGATUR was formed in Pontedeume on July 21, 2003, as a non-profit organization, in accordance with the provisions of Article 22 of the Spanish Constitution; the Constitutional Law 1/2002 dated 22nd March regulating the rights of associations and other provisions. FEGATUR exists to
inform,
support and
represent its members, local rural tourism associations throughout Galicia. Further we are aiming to encourage tourism in the autonomous region of Galicia and become a reference for the development of rural tourism activities.
FEGATUR’s objectives on behalf of its members (who are local rural tourism associations in Galicia) are:
1) To
represent the interests of members, and to campaign on behalf of those interests (for example to Government and regulatory bodies).
2) To provide
information and support services to members, to enable them to improve and develop their businesses.
3) To facilitate and enable the continuous professional development of the independent rural tourism sector in Galicia, and promote best practice.
4) To promote to the public the advantages of staying in owner-managed rural character lodgings in Galicia.
